Salzburg Museum, Salzburg (A)
Kategorie: Mueological and curatorial supervision
Auftrag: Museological and curatorial concept for reorganisation of the collection, spatial and functional programme
Auftraggeber: Salzburger Museum
Team: Dieter Bogner, Barbara Feller, Christian Rapp
Zeitraum: 2000-2007
Eröffnung: May 30, 2007
The museum concept for the new Salzburg Museum develops a “Museum of different speeds” and widens the spectrum of possible speeds of change. In addition to the permanent exhibition on the second floor and the short-term special exhibitions in the basement, there are areas for semi-permanent displays in various parts of the building. These big and small exhibitions, that alternate at intervals of one to two years, react to new research findings, interpreting topics of the main exhibition or focus on issues of current interest to the public. They are compiled above all from the collections, but may also feature important loans from other museums.
Awards:
2007 Austrian Museum Prize
2009 European Museum of the Year Award
Fläche: 3.100 sq m exhibition area
