The construction company (EGZ) responsible for the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site “Zeche Zollverein”, had commissioned bogner.cc to design a “Visitor Centre Ruhr” on levels 24-26 of the former coal washing plant. Beginning at the reception area, interactive models and medial presentations offer visitors an introduction to the theme “from Ruhr coal basin to industrial culture”. The path then leads through central parts of the shut-down factory to the visitor uppermost terrace with a 360-degree panoramic view of the Ruhr area.
