Appointed by the Province of South Tyrol, bogner.cc has been supervising the museological planning and construction of a new museum building since 1999. Site analysis, strategic concept, and spatial and functional programmes formed the basis for resolutions of the provincial government and led to the organization of an international architectural competition. As next step, bogner.cc was commissioned to accompany museological planning and building construction up to the museum’s opening date. Dieter Bogner was member of the finding commission for the direction of the new museum and in 2006 was also appointed to the foundation board by South Tyrol’s provincial government. 

Due to a precise and innovative museologic strategy that was worked out prior to competition proceedings, the new structure avails of an excellent spatial and technical infrastructure, meeting the stringent requirements of a dynamic exhibition centre while also fulfilling the museum’s educational mission.
