The Hunting and Wildlife Museum in Schloss Stainz belongs to the Styrian Universalmuseum Joanneum. As part of the master plan "Joanneum new", developed by bogner.cc, the museum has been transferred from Schloss Eggenberg to Schloss Stainz.
The new concept for presenting the collections calls for a culture-historical section and a biological section dedicated to wildlife. Visitors may view the theme "hunting" from various perspectives: as centuries old social phenomena, as economic factor and from today's standpoint, as ecological duty to preserve and protect the forest.
